hellow all saxophonist!!
today keep in mind what MS CANEDA, MA'AM AJ and SIR NICHOLAS said.. :)
and try to once a week look at your dairy at least once.. :)
although we might be busy with out schedule with our friends and studies..
at least take out to read on SUNDAYS or before you sleep.. :)
try to keep it entertaining lah..
although it might be dry (i know) but its a way to improve.. :)
try to take in what ever secondary 1s we have, but also appreciate them also.. :)
we might not like them but they are still part of the section.. :)

Happy Chinese New Year in Advance!
Firstly, I'd like to thank Xinyu and Liyi for coming on Friday to help and see us perform! It was quite a good performance in my opinion. Other than my stupid stands and Angeline's, everything went well at least for our section. But ya, I kind of like and enjoy it.
I shall not go into much details since most of you know how was Friday's performance.
On Wednesday, the band room should be opened by 2.30pm so please do not come later. I am sure all of you would want to see the new juniors.

hello all saxophonists!!
I'm back!!
nice job for CCA Open house.. :)
give yourself around of applause... :)
I know that today some of your were happy, some were angry, some were 'whatever'..
but please be reminded that the band still needs you.. every single player in the section.. every singer player in the band is very important..
like what Ms. Caneda said;
"THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU IS YOUR ASSET."
simply meaning that everyone is important. :)
Good Job to Yi Jie, PK and Yi Hui for the mini band.
Good Job to Yi Jie, Zhi Qing, PK and Yi Hui for playing Classical Canon on stage nicely.
Thank you for coming on the most IMPORTANT day in our Band Calander, CCA Open House.

today is the second pratice, and we still have full attendance.. :)
but still got people come late, but due to reasons that can be accepted..
please be prepared for the upcoming events.

please be on time and try to read your scores in your busy scedule..
cos if teachers that we have (Ms Caneda and Mr Lum) can read their scores that means that we also can..

I would like to say Belated Happy New Year. (Its too late now I know but to those people I haven't said yet) The school holidays are obviously over and is time for us to wake up. A brand new year and a brand new band practice on 3rd January.
To be honest, I kind of practise too much on Overture No1 and I left Chorale and Jubiloso out but I did practise it but not as often as Overture No1 so I am guilty of some mistakes being made. So what have all of you been doing the holidays? Do you spend it meaningfully?
Now, to the main point. Like what Mr Lum said, that 3 weeks of December holidays really did A LOT of damage to our music making in terms of many things. Ms Caneda also talked about a new word in 2009 which is "WE". It is that "WE" that makes us grow together and learn much more new things musically in band. Mr Lum also said we need to have self-discipline so that we can practise more efficiently without wasting everybody's time. Please also remember that we aim to produce a sound that is :
x )( y= xy
and not
x+y=x+y
Up to this point I think all of you should get my message.
By the way, Ms Caneda has given a new word so I'll give a new quote.
"It is your attitude and not your aptitude (Ability) that brings you to a higher altitude (Level)."
Moving on...
We have 1 more week to learn and MEMORISE Chorale and Jubiloso and Overture No1. I hope all of you know the fingering and clear your rhythms by now. Its going to be a tough ride since we still have many events like CCA Open House, etc.
